Terminology
Diameter(d) is the distance from one side of the circle to the other side of the circle. The diameter(d) is double the radius(r).
d=2xr
Radius(r) is the distance from the centre of the circle to the side of the circle. Radius(r) is half of the diameter(d).
r=d/2
To calculate the required length of material, the outside diameter(d) is multiplied by 3.14. After that the additional length (g) required for rolling is added.
l=(dx3.14)+g
The additional length required for rolling depends on the size of the material. Please contact us for more details.
For example: A channel needs to be rolled to a diameter of 2000mm. To calculate the length required:
(2000x3.14)+900=7180mm
